How to fix common API connection errors with Notion
Common API Errors
Error: “Invalid API Token”
This means your Notion connection has expired or been revoked.
Solution:
- Disconnect from Notion in extension settings
- Reconnect and re-authorize
Error: “Database Not Found”
The selected database may have been deleted or you’ve lost access.
Solution:
- Check if the database still exists in Notion
- Verify you have edit permissions
- Select a different database in extension settings
Error: “Rate Limit Exceeded”
You’ve made too many requests to Notion’s API.
Solution:
- Wait a few minutes before trying again
- Reduce export frequency if using Auto-Sync
- Contact support if issue persists
Error: “Extension not connected to Perplexity page”
The content script is not connected to the Perplexity page.
Solution:
- Refresh the Perplexity page
- Wait a few seconds for the extension to connect
- Try the export again
Error: “Perplexity page required”
You need to have a Perplexity page open.
Solution:
- Open https://www.perplexity.ai in a tab
- Navigate to a conversation or search page
- Try the export again
