Connect to Notion

Claude to Notion uses Notion OAuth to request access to destinations you select. The extension cannot write to an unshared data source.

Authorize a workspace

1. Open the Claude to Notion popup or Sync Center.
2. Select Manage or Add Notion access.
3. Sign in to Notion if prompted.
4. Choose the workspace and pages you want to share.
5. Approve access and return to the extension.

Select a destination

In the Sync Center, open the Notion data source menu and choose where exported conversations should be created.

If a recently shared data source does not appear:

1. Select Refresh list.
2. Wait a few seconds for Notion to return the updated access list.
3. Reopen the selector.

Use Open database to verify the destination before a large sync.

Add or change access

Select Add Notion access when the desired data source was not included in the original authorization. Notion opens the OAuth sharing screen again so you can add another page or data source without changing your Claude connection.

Choose a conflict mode

The destination card also controls duplicate handling:

• Skip keeps the existing exported page.
• Overwrite replaces the previous exported page with current Claude content.
• New always creates another page.

The extension identifies related exports using conversation and source metadata. Keep Skip locally synced conversations enabled when you want to avoid unnecessary Notion lookups during recurring backups.

Privacy and stored settings

The extension uses the active Claude session to read conversations you choose and the authorized Notion connection to create pages in the selected destination. Preferences, progress, and recent sync history are kept in Chrome extension storage.

Connection troubleshooting

If the destination list is empty or an export reports missing access:

1. Confirm you are signed in to the intended Notion workspace.
2. Select Add Notion access and share the destination again.
3. Return to the Sync Center and select Refresh list.
4. Confirm you can edit the destination in Notion.
5. If authorization expired or was revoked, reconnect Notion.
